Production Start: 4 episodes of the ZDF crime series “Professor T”

(Cologne / Antwerp) Matthias Matschke plays the title role in the new ZDF crime series "Professor T.", the German adaptation of the Skyline/Demensen format started on September 28th in Cologne and Antwerp. Along side Matthias Matschke is Lucie Heinze as detective Anneliese Deckert, Andreas Helgi Schmid as Criminal Commissioner Daniel Winter, Julia Bremermann as director of the Kripo Cologne Christina Fehrmann and Paul Faßnacht as criminal chief commissioner Paul Rabe. Directed by Thomas Jahn. Principal Photography continues until December 3rd of 2016.

Initial broadcast is scheduled for 2017. Professor T. aka Professor Jasper Thalheim teaches criminal psychology at the University of Cologne, undisputedly an expert in his field. "T." has a brilliant mind with a sharp tongue, which he mostly uses in a sarcastic and arrogant manner. He has loads of issues, mainly a strong compulsion to disinfect himself... a challenge for his environment. For his former student Anneliese, he is, however, the only hope to help with unsolvable murders for the undermanned homicide squad. No easy collaboration, because Professor T. finds everyone’s weak spot on the first try - which brings him in conflict with Chief Inspector Paul Rabe - and the worst thing: He is really always right. In addition, T. is re-united with the director of the criminal investigation Christina Fehrmann, who until a few years ago was his great love. Although the explosive Anneliese and the quiet Daniel could hardly be more different, they have one thing in common: They are not deterred by Professor T.'s insults and form an unbeatable team together with him. "Professor T." is a production of Rowboat Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH, by producer Sam Davis. The ZDF editor is Matthias Pfeifer.
